CGEE supports MIT ANPEI Brazil Summit 2026 on innovation and competitiveness.

The event, which will take place on October 8th in São Paulo, will bring together leaders, experts, companies, and institutions to discuss strategies for cooperation, open innovation, and resilience in the face of the transformations of the global landscape.

With the theme "Cooperating to compete in a fragmented world," the 22nd edition of the MIT-ANPEI Brazil Summit will be held on October 8th at the Hotel Unique in São Paulo (SP). The event, which has the institutional support of the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE), will bring together business leaders, researchers, public managers, investors, startups, and specialists to discuss strategies for innovation, competitiveness, and resilience in the face of transformations in the global landscape.

In its 2026 edition, the traditional meeting of the National Association for Research and Development of Innovative Companies (ANPEI) will be held in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and will focus on open innovation and cooperation in a context of increasing pressure on economic and technological interdependence. The program will address topics related to R&D strategy, artificial intelligence, intellectual property, data, cybersecurity, innovation policies, deep tech, entrepreneurship, and interaction between companies, startups, academia, and government.

The program will feature three international keynote speakers from MIT: Ben Armstrong, Executive Director of the MIT Industrial Performance Center; Shari Loessberg, Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management; and David Robertson, also a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Agenda highlights include discussions on the role of artificial intelligence and robotics in the future of work, entrepreneurship ecosystems, innovation in procurement, technology transfer, open innovation, corporate venture capital, and public innovation policies.

The Summit will also feature dedicated spaces for presenting national innovation case studies, as well as activities aimed at startups and fostering connections between companies, research institutions, and other actors in the innovation ecosystem. According to the organizers, the call for case studies received 338 submissions, reinforcing the interest of companies, funding agencies, regulatory bodies, and researchers in sharing experiences and results in science, technology, and management.

CGEE's institutional participation in the event aligns with the importance of expanding the dialogue between science, technology, innovation, the productive sector, and public policies, contributing to the development of strategies capable of strengthening Brazilian competitiveness in an international environment marked by technological, economic, and geopolitical transformations.
