The results were released during the Validation Conference, which concluded the active listening cycle conducted with public and private stakeholders in Science, Technology & Innovation from the state, the academic sector, and civil society.
The Science, Technology and Innovation Observatory (Octi) team from the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE) presented, yesterday (22), to the Mato Grosso State Council for Science, Technology and Innovation, the results of analyses and the proposal for the construction of the State Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation (PCTI/MT).
The presentation was part of the state's National Science, Technology & Innovation Week program. The event continues until tomorrow (October 24th), from 8 am to 5 pm, at the Pantanal Events Center in Cuiabá, with scientific exhibitions, lectures, awards, etc.
The event, called the Validation Conference, concluded the active listening cycle conducted with public and private stakeholders in Science, Technology & Innovation (ST&I) in the state, the academic sector, and civil society. It presented a diagnosis based on data research and workshops held between September and October in the cities of Barra do Garças, Cáceres, Cuiabá, Sinop, and Rondonópolis. Based on the demands collected in these workshops, a plan will be developed to guide public ST&I policies in the state in the coming years.
The Deputy Secretary for Scientific, Technological and Innovation Development, Rodrigo Zanin, emphasized that this is the first time that the State of Mato Grosso is building this collective plan through Seciteci, in partnership with the Mato Grosso Research Support Foundation (Fapemat) and the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE).
The Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Allan Kardec, emphasized that the proposed plan will be available to the public on the secretariat's website for opinions, suggestions, and public participation for another 30 days. “This text will go to the Legislative Assembly and will be consolidated as the State Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation, our law. The secretariat was created 21 years ago by decree, and now we are democratizing the law that governs or will govern Science, Technology and Innovation in the state through popular participation,” he reminded.
According to Octi's leader, Adriana Badaró, the meetings in Mato Grosso were productive and will result in excellent input for the plan's development. "Now, after the data collection and validation of the plan's structuring axes, we will begin the strategic action phase for Science, Technology & Innovation (CT&I) with the development of guidelines that will guide the state in this sector over the next 10 years," she concluded.
The event was attended by the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Allan Kardec; the head of the Brasília and Central-West office of the Financing Agency for Studies and Projects (Finep), Julieta Palmeira, representing the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos; the president of the Mato Grosso State Research Support Foundation (Fapemat), Marcos de Sá; and the rector of the State University of Mato Grosso (Unemat), Vera Maquêa.
