CGEE leaders are included in an international ranking of scientific impact compiled by Stanford University.

Anderson Gomes and Connie McManus are included in international lists that identify the world's most influential scientists, based on citations accumulated throughout their careers and those received in 2025.

The CEO of the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE), Anderson Gomes, and the Director of Strategic Projects and Institutional Relations, Connie McManus, are included in both lists of the international survey of researchers compiled by a team from Stanford University in the United States, using data from the publisher Elsevier.

Released in October 2026, the update uses bibliometric indicators based on publications indexed in the Scopus database. The survey presents two independent lists: the career list, which considers citations received from 1996 to 2025, and the single-year list, which includes citations received in 2025.

The rankings use a composite indicator that considers the total number of citations, the H&M indices, and citations of works in which the researcher appears as the sole author, first author, or last author. The lists include the top 100,000 researchers worldwide in this indicator or the top 2% in each subfield. The career list includes 243,949 researchers worldwide, while the single-year list includes 249,310.

Brazilian participation

Brazil has 1,304 researchers on the career list and 1,510 on the single-year list, which corresponds to 0.53% and 0.61% of the world total in each ranking, respectively. Based on the number of researchers included, the country ranks 27th on the career list and 24th on the single-year list. In total, there are 2,021 distinct Brazilian researchers on both lists.

The University of São Paulo (USP) leads among Brazilian institutions, with 264 researchers on the career list and 282 on the single-year list. Following are the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), with 99 and 105 names; the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with 74 and 63; the São Paulo State University (Unesp), with 60 and 87; the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), with 56 and 63; and the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), with 54 and 64. Among research institutions, the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) stands out with 43 researchers on the career list and 35 on the single-year list.
