PCTI-MT

The PCTI-MT proposal was approved by the Mato Grosso Science, Technology and Innovation Council.

The document, prepared by CGEE through the Science, Technology & Innovation Observatory, was unanimously approved after a participatory drafting process.

The proposal for the Mato Grosso State Science, Technology and Innovation Plan (PCTI-MT), developed by the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE), through the CT&I Observatory (OCTI), was submitted to the approval of the State CT&I Council of the state, on Monday (30) and approved unanimously by the body.

The approval took place during a guided tour of the Mato Grosso Technological Park, located in the Chapéu do Sol region of Várzea Grande, with the presence of the State Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation (Seciteci), Alan Kardec. The official took the opportunity to present the work he has carried out at the head of the department over the past almost four years. The Deputy Secretary of Seciteci, Rodrigo Zanin, spoke about the plan's strategy.

The presentation of the PCTI to the Council was conducted by the Observatory's technical advisor, Fábio Augusto, who participated in the ceremony representing CGEE and explaining the process of drafting the document. The Plan project was developed by Octi after a long period of listening and diagnosis in Mato Grosso territory, initiated in 2025 with S&T stakeholders from five different regions of the state.

Project

The Mato Grosso State Science, Technology and Innovation Plan (PCTI-MT) began in the second half of 2025. The team responsible for the project visited five cities in the state (Cárceres, Sinop, Rondonópolis, Cuiabá and Barra do Garças) conducting active listening sessions with S&T stakeholders (academia, the productive sector and government) in face-to-face workshops.

Furthermore, a crucial meeting was held for the institutional and territorial validation of the plan's strategic interpretations. This final listening phase took place during the National Science and Technology Week in Cuiabá, in October 2025. On that occasion, the vision for the future, general objective, and strategic axes that will guide the PCTI-MT for the next 10 years were approved.
