CGEE strengthens international action on climate technology agendas at the UNFCCC.

Participation in the TEC and CTCN meetings and in Climate Week 3, with Brazilian representation on the CTCN Executive Council, expands the Center's contribution to the implementation of technological solutions and the advancement of global climate policies.

The Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE) participated, between April 14 and 25, 2026, in important international agendas within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), held in South Korea. The Center's participation in the meetings of the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) and the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) , in addition to its presence at Climate Week 3 , reinforces its strategic role in international coordination and the production of knowledge aimed at addressing climate change.

On that occasion, the Center was represented by technical advisor Emilly Caroline, a member of the CTCN Executive Council, who actively participated in the discussions as the Brazilian representative. Her presence allowed not only for contributions to the debates but also for gathering relevant input to support the studies and projects developed by the Center. Within the scope of TEC, strategic guidelines for advancing the climate technology agenda were discussed, with an emphasis on the transition from conceptual debate to practical implementation, including topics such as artificial intelligence, the water-energy-food nexus, processing industries, and technology transfer.

During the meetings of the CTCN, the operational arm of the Convention's technological mechanism, discussions focused on advancements in technical assistance, coordination with Nationally Designated Entities, and the mobilization of resources and partnerships. Initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacities of developing countries were highlighted, as were concrete achievements in accessing international climate finance. CGEE's participation in this forum contributes to the direct monitoring of global trends and to strengthening its role in public policies for science, technology, and innovation with a focus on sustainability.

Climate Week

Complementing this agenda, CGEE also participated in Climate Week 3, held in Yeosu, which brings together global actors to discuss practical solutions for implementing climate commitments. The event addressed key themes such as mitigation, adaptation, just transition, innovation, land use, and gender inclusion, promoting the exchange of experiences between governments, the private sector, and international organizations. The Center's participation reinforces its commitment to the international climate agenda and expands its capacity to contribute, in a qualified manner, to the development of strategies aligned with national and global priorities.
