CGEE participates in Latin American forum on climate technologies and innovation.

The “2026 Joint Programme: Latin America and the Caribbean NDE Forum and Capacity Building”, held in San Ignacio, Belize, discusses climate technologies and regional cooperation.

Gabriela Britto, technical advisor at the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE), is participating in the “2026 Joint Programme: Latin America and the Caribbean NDE Forum and Capacity Building,” held from May 19 to 22 in San Ignacio, Belize. The meeting brings together representatives from Nationally Designated Entities (NDEs) in Latin America and the Caribbean, members of the Advisory Board of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), members of the Technology Executive Committee (TEC), and experts in climate technologies and innovation.

The CTCN is the operational arm of the Technology Mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and works to promote the development, transfer and dissemination of environmentally sound technologies to support developing countries in low-carbon and climate-resilient actions.

During the program, CGEE is participating in the first edition of the “Network Fair,” a space for networking and exchange created to bring together institutions that are part of the CTCN network with the Nationally Designated Entities of the participating countries. The Center was one of 10 institutions selected from among nearly a thousand organizations in the international network to present initiatives focused on promoting climate technologies and technical cooperation.

At the fair, Britto will present the book Bioethanol: fast track to mobility decarbonisation and the Inova-e platform, initiatives developed by CGEE related to innovation, energy transition and climate technologies. The Center's participation reinforces its work on strategic issues linked to sustainability, systemic transformation and international cooperation to address climate change.

Beyond the Network Fair, the forum discusses topics such as systemic transformation in the water-energy-food nexus, artificial intelligence applied to climate action, climate finance, technological innovation, and strengthening institutional capacities in Latin America and the Caribbean.
