The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and the National Council for Science and Technology (CCT) inform that the public consultation for the consolidation of the National Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation (ENCTI) 2024–2034, a document that will guide public policies for Science, Technology and Innovation in the country over the next decade, remains open until December 30th.

Open on the Brasil Participativo platform, the consultation invites citizens, institutions, and productive sectors to submit suggestions and opinions to strengthen the motto: "Science, Technology & Innovation for a Just, Developed, and Sovereign Brazil".

Social participation continues, as it has from the beginning of its development, as another fundamental step in improving the strategy. The contributions submitted through the platform will help to reflect the regional, social, and productive diversity of Brazil; strengthen active citizenship; refine guidelines and priorities for action; and align science, technology, and innovation with the real needs and opportunities of the country.

The construction of the ENCTI 2024–2034 is the result of a broad participatory process. More than 100,000 people from all regions of the country contributed during the 5th National Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation, held in 2024. The current proposal was prepared by a dedicated Working Group and submitted to the National Council for Science and Technology (CCT), which decided on another public consultation to incorporate demands, perceptions and priorities presented by the population, experts, workers, students and representatives of the productive sector.

By opening this public consultation channel, the MCTI and CCT reinforce their commitment to state policies built in a democratic and transparent way, focused on the well-being of the population. The participation of every citizen is essential for the ENCTI 2024–2034 to be a robust, inclusive instrument capable of guiding a national project based on knowledge, innovation, and sovereignty.

Public participation is open until December 30th, through the Brasil Participativo platform .
